How to Heal Depression

I ended up in the Doctors at 19 feeling so depressed and exhausted I said I wanted to be dead.

Straight away I was prescribed antidepressants and told I had a chemical imbalance.

I felt so hopeless that this was my life, that I had faulty genes.

I tried coming off the medication a few times and each time I relapsed or so I thought and ended up back on the drugs. Doctors had no answers for me and the only solution was to switch the medication to another brand or up the dosage.

After having no periods for 4 years and a deep seated desire to reclaim my health I declared I would do whatever it took to get off the medication and address the root cause about why I was so unwell.

Coming off antidepressants medication was extremely difficult as my body went into withdrawals, a dark night of the soul entering the great unknown that was my initiation into my life’s work of supporting others on their path of reclaiming their health.

Masking your symptoms with drugs keeps you stuck and it injures your whole being and doesn’t truly help your body as pharmaceuticals feed disease, resulting in more chronic diseases further down the line.

There is a better way.

Coming off medication was so liberating and allowed me to move from fear to trust in who I am.

I turned to life changing nutrition to heal my body, detox off the medication and before my very eyes I saw my body, mind and soul heal and come back to life.

Depression can be caused by the following:

Depression can be caused by obvious identifiable events, such as traumatic loss, traumatic stress, and emotional injury. These traumas can create a lasting neurotransmitter deficiency, leading to depression that sometimes continues past the time of hardship. In other cases, we can point to identifiable daily challenges as the source of depression.

Then there’s unexplained depression, which is caused by toxic heavy metals such as mercury, aluminum, and copper, often with a low-grade viral infection of one or more of the over 60 varieties of Epstein-Barr virus, one or more of the over 30 varieties of shingles virus, or one or more strains of the multiple varieties of herpes simplex 1, herpes simplex 2, or cytomegalovirus.

When one of these viruses feeds off of large amounts of toxic heavy metals in your system, the resulting high levels of neurotoxic waste saturate the brain, altering and hampering neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin—resulting in a depressive state.

Adrenal dysfunction can also create depressive burnout.

A brew of all of these factors at once could also create someone’s depression, particularly if they experienced toxic exposure at the same time they suffered trauma. – Medical Medium
