The Ebb and Flow of life

On today’s episode I invited Maeve Ferris of Ebb and Flow Yoga Ireland to join me. I’ve been going to Maeve’s yoga classes since my Mum passed away last year. Not only has Maeve helped me release grief and build confidence in myself once again, she embodies moving from fear to trust.

Maeve’s corporate background gave her the perfect skill set to leverage on for building her thriving yoga practice. As she shares, she only started teaching a class of 2-3 and in some cases 1 student but she was determined to give her students a great experience and as a result her practice has grown exponentially over the past 2 years.

Maeve shares some serious fear moments she has faced along her path, including the very familiar “imposter syndrome” we can all secretly suffer when we’re on a steep learning curve.

A key message Maeve shares with us is “You have to believe in yourself or it won’t work”. This to me is a lesson I’m learning time and time again.

Once you’ve listened to the episode, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

The pull of the tribal mindset

Aisling FitzGibbon

The Aisling and Richie Podcast.png

Last week I accidentally sent out the wrong article on my mailing list. As there is never such thing as a coincidence, Richie ended up reading the article that was published last January and told me to check it out as it’s relevant to what I’m going through at the moment.

This article was exactly what I needed to hear and I decided to record a spoken word of the article in today’s episode of The Aisling and Richie Podcast.

I invite you to listen in and if you want to read the newly updated article click here.

Let us know are you facing any issues detaching yourself from the pull of the tribal mindset in the comments below.

What's the alternative to you not following your vision in 2019?

Happy New Year for 2019. We’re back with the first podcast of 2019 after a relaxing 2 week holiday.

Today’s episode asks you the question “What’s the alternative to you not following your vision for 2019?

The main points discussed today:

I was a speaker at the Open Minds Conference last November where I met Mary Helen Hensley who is a Author, Chiropractor and Metaphysical Healer. Mary Helen told me “You need to put your story into a book”

Reducing our phone time is our intention, using social media as a tool instead of a tyrant.

Visited Mary Helen during the holidays and I birthed the beginning of my first book Moving From Fear To Trust that I’m co-authoring with my Mum Martha. I’m deeply grateful to have Mary Helen as my mentor and Book midwife.

Sharing my intentions with you helps me to stay accountable and on track with my project.

Richie shares about his Odyssey Tour in Europe this year.

We’re socially conditioned to fear failure. We attach our identity to failing and it makes us want to give up. Failing is part of the process of learning to master anything. It doesn’t make you a failure. When you fail, fail in the direction you want to go in. Richie’s example of his first attempt at making his album.

Embracing failure is essential when you pursue your goals and vision.

Map out your intentions for the New Year and detach from the outcome of how it has to unfold.

Learn to trust in the timing while having the discipline to stay on your course.

Inspired by a question I heard recently on a Masterclass by Elizabeth Gilbert, I’d like you to ask yourself is “What’s the alternative of you not following your vision?” Please share in the comments below.

What a year it has been. In today’s episode of the Aisling and Richie Podcast we discuss our Year in Review practice that we started last year. It’s so helpful to digest the year, see the insights, lessons and patterns you have experienced so you can kick off 2019 with clarity, intention and focus on bringing your vision to life in a way that feels good to you.

We share our biggest lesson, most significant celebration and Number One limiting story we are leaving behind in 2018.

I’d love to invite you to join me in this practice and ask yourself the following questions. Write down your answers in a beautiful notepad you can return to next year.

1) What was the biggest lesson in 2018?

2) What was the most significant celebration in 2018?

3) What is the Number One limiting story you are going to leave behind in 2018?

This week is the run up to the Winter Solstice on Friday 21st December. This is a special time to turn inward and to discover your gems of insights so you can feel nourished and replenished. I recommend creating a ritual to honour this time. You’ll feel so much better and ready to celebrate the return of the light when you face your own depth and darkness.

Let me know how you get on with your Year In Review practice in the comments below.

Happy Winter Solstice and Holidays,

Love

Aisling

Admit it, you hate your "Poor Me" trap

Today's episode is part 2 of the "Poor Me" trap series. We discuss the different ways that the poor me trap can show up in your life, for example "I should be further ahead in my life".

You can easily fall into this trap when you don't connect to your higher vision. The poor me trap drains your energy and creates a self fulfilling prophecy that you keep feeding and others in your life buy into the story you keep on repeat.

The poor me trap can show up in health, relationships, business/career and life purpose. It can show up in procrastinating behaviours around the things that will help you.

What can you do when you are stuck in your "Poor Me" trap?

Number 1 is to recognise your "poor me" trap either coming from yourself or from others in your life.

Number 2 is to take action to change this story and write a new empowering script.

Starting where you are, write down how far you have come since you were 10 years of age, all the many milestones and achievements to date. Fully realise how far you have come. Celebrate yourself. Now write down all the great things in your life that uplift you, the people, job, opportunities. Whatever is great right now, write it down and take it in.

Use your past as inspiration to create your future vision in the present moment.

Create a new script of an empowered life where you live your full expression.

Your attitude shapes your life and the choice is yours.

Over to you, what action are you going to take to write your new script? Let us know in the comments below!
