Freebirth after a C-Section

Posted in

Today on the podcast I’m joined by Siobhan De Paor and Irish Poet and Cultural Revivalist to share her 3 birth stories from a planned freebirth that ended up in a hospital transfer due to fear and lack of support, to a c-section due to placenta previa to finally the freebirth of her final son at 42 at home with her family.

Siobhan is a leading light house forging this path and now 7 years after the birth of her first son, the culture of wise women supporting birth in the form of birth keepers is now emerging here in Ireland.

Wild Irish Retreat is now crowdfunding to purchase the home and land in Kilkenny to create an Irish language and cultural centre outside the Gaeltacht, a home and sanctuary for our rish cultural heritage and a resilient future.
