I've been seriously looking at Donald Trump, trying to figure him out. I’ve listened to speeches where he belittles opponents calling them “losers” or “disgusting”, interrupts conversations and all the while drawing the utmost attention to himself. Anger permeates his political rhetoric.
There is of course no shortage of experts volunteering to analyse his behaviour. Psychologist from Harvard, Howard Green views Donald as being “remarkably narcissistic,” a view that’s echoed by others who feel that Donald behaves as though he has narcissistic personality disorder. This is a disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. It is also marked by impairments in functioning due to an exaggerated sense of self and problems in forming close relationships. Narcissists are often emotionally flat/numb.
As I look at Donald through a biochemical lens, I would surmise that he has an imbalance between his copper and zinc status. A build-up of copper in his system may have predisposed him to developing a calcium shell which can be caused by a diet that is high in inflammatory foods, a lack of alkaline minerals, along with a deficiency of magnesium and zinc.
The copper shell can literally make a person feel numb towards others. Is this why Donald can treat people such as Rosie O’Donnell in such a callous manner? Is this why he can so easily divide people by wanting to deny certain Muslims the right to enter the US?
Copper can stimulate the reptilian brain so that perception gets distorted. Does Trump really think that the Mexicans will pay for a wall to divide them from the US? With high levels of copper there is a decrease in consciousness and awareness. This seems to be the case with Donald who seems immune to the effects his words have on others. When Donald operates from the reptilian brain, this will override his rational brain and will make him do and say things that may lead to un necessary conflict and drama. Zinc on the other hand stimulates the cortex, the rational mind, which calms the emotions. Copper toxic people can often keep themselves in a state of high drama and their symptoms can even mimic bi-polar syndrome. Donald, as you know, thrives on drama.
With the development of a calcium shell, calcium becomes bio unavailable. This would lead to Donald feeling rather irritable and he could have difficulty sleeping and relaxing. In fact, he admits to sleeping just a few hours a night. Zinc is needed for the metabolism of melatonin, a key hormone for healthy sleep.
Tony Schwartz who ghost wrote “The Art of the Deal” reported that Donald Trump has an exceptionally short attention span. He noted that Donald also has a very fidgety nature. Conditions such as ADHD are linked to low zinc levels. With ADHD there is a shortage of the brain chemical dopamine (a feel good chemical). This makes the person need greater stimulation than normal and Donald certainly matches this profile.
A lack of dopamine receptor centres in the brain could cause Donald to become partial to junk foods, which is what happened when he was on his campaign trail. Eating those junk foods further lowers the dopamine receptors which means a person would need higher levels of the high fat foods to feel any sense of reward.
In primitive tribes the leader was always offered the testicles of the animals that were hunted and killed. Testicles, an organ meat, are naturally high in zinc, a mineral that all leaders need in abundance as it predisposes them to becoming more rational, more conscious and more aware. Many organ meats including liver, kidneys, heart and testicles are rich in zinc, iron, magnesium, omega 3 and in protein. Rocky mountain oysters are a euphemism for bull’s testicles valued as food in certain cattle – producing Western states. In culinary usage testicles are supposed to be tender like a well marbled steak.
So, is there any recommendations I can give to Donald? Certainly, he should increase his levels of zinc and follow a less inflammatory diet. I would advise getting his blood tested to check for his methylation status and to check for both deficiencies and overload of certain minerals. If Donald Trump is to follow his campaign slogan to “Make America Great Again,” he will need to make dietary changes and take supplements to balance his biochemistry. Imagine a Donald Trump transcending his towering ego and becoming aware of the effects he is having on others. Imagine a Donald, so replete with zinc, that he becomes cool, calm and caring. Imagine all the people living life in peace. It’s easy if you try.
